I am the proud owner of an awesome American Mastiff.  This website and forum is dedicated to the amazing American Mastiff breed created by Fredericka Wagner of Flying W Farms in Ohio.   The American Mastiff Family website and forum is a very positive and friendly place that is focused on the American Mastiff as a magnificent family pet.

On the American Mastiff Family website and forum, you'll learn all about "The AM Experience" which includes, but is not limited to:

  • First discovering and learning about our wonderful breed, the American Mastiff.

  • Deciding if the American Mastiff is the right breed for you and your family.

  • Learning about the breeders and how important it is to get an American Mastiff from an AMBC (American Mastiff Breeders Council) approved breeder.

  • Learning everything possible about preparing for and raising a happy, healthy American Mastiff from puppyhood to adulthood, including:

  • Choosing a breeder, getting on the wait list, and picking up your puppy from your breeder.

  • Nutrition for extra-large breeds from puppyhood through adulthood.

  • Vaccination protocols and anesthesia for the American Mastiff.

  • The importance of socialization and proper training.

  • Exercise for giant breed dogs.

  • Advice and suggestions for getting through those sometimes trying teething times and that goofy adolescent phase.

In addition, we share lots of information and suggestions regarding tried-and-true doggie supplies for extra-large breeds from crates and beds and feeding bowls� to extra-large collars and super-durable doggie toys.  We discuss certifications such as Canine Good Citizenship (CGC) and Therapy Dogs and what's involved in obtaining those certifications, etc.

There are 10 members of the American Mastiff Breeders Council (AMBC) in the United States and Canada.   These breeders have voluntarily agreed to abide by the ethical breeder guidelines and rules of AMBC. These are breeders of the true purebred American Mastiff dogs which trace their bloodlines back to Flying W Farms, Inc., (www.flyingwfarms.com / Fredericka Wagner - breed founder).  The American Mastiff breed is closely tracked and is bred with the best interest of the breed at heart, so beware of imposters!  The American Mastiff is NOT to be confused with the Panja Mastiff.   For a complete list of the 10 AMBC-Approved breeders, please see "List of AMBC-Approved Breeders" in the left column.  As the owner/administrator of the American Mastiff Family website and forum, I personally endorse each and every one of the 10 AMBC-Approved breeders.
